Since 1980
Two names, one table: Anthony and Leticia Pereira.
About the owner
Leticia Pereira runs Toncia today, a restaurant named for her and her husband Anthony. She brings her own Goan touch to the kitchen's classics. The restaurant was started in 1980 under the guidance of Anthony's mother and built its name on Goan and seafood cooking. Leticia has carried that legacy forward, and her menu — Goan specialities, seafood, and a spread of Indian, Chinese and continental dishes — now draws both Russian holidaymakers and Indian regulars in equal measure.
A restaurant led by a woman who believes good food and good hospitality go hand in hand.
Our story
Toncia takes its name from Anthony and Leticia Pereira — a little of each in one word. Opened in 1980 and still looked after by Mr. Anthony Pereira, the restaurant has grown into a fixture for food lovers travelling to South Goa.
Russian visitors tend to love the range of the menu and the relaxed setting; Indian guests keep coming back for the Goan classics. Either way, it's Mr. Anthony Pereira and his team's hospitality that keeps people returning — come for the food, stay for the welcome.
